Whitney Whyte
Whitney Whyte

Whitney calls herself a "free-bird dreamer," with a strong love for adventure and a heart for change in the world. "There’s a common thread," she says, "a melody that flows through every country, and every culture I have the good fortune to celebrate. It's the sound of unity, all voices joining in one song, one spirit, one human experience. It's my goal to tour the world on stage, always pointing the audience upward."

  • At a concert attended by thousands in Boston Common, she helped lead a "Die In" protest for Save Darfur.
  • After performing at a New York City hotel, she joined some street musicians in Central Park for a little improv.
  • She’s toured the college circuit stages -- Baylor University, Gordon College and Emerson University among them.
  • But what Whitney values most is a time during a trip to Central America, led by Brad Corrigan of Dispatch. After her performance at a hotel in Managua, Nicaragua, Whitney took her guitar to La Chureca, the city’s dump site, where she played and sang for the people who live there.

"Ultimately I know I'll be satisfied no matter where I am," Whitney says, "as long as my eyes are fixed on God. I also realize that He's got some pretty big plans up His sleeve. I'm ready."
